The greatest festivity dedicated to chocolate
with dozens of initiatives for the delight of
"choco-visitors", a manifestation of
extraordinary interest, fame and international
renown, the long-awaited appointment for tourists
with a sweet tooth and chocolate-lovers, which
takes place in the historical centre of Perugia
and in smaller centres of the region with a kermesse
of mouth-watering initiatives.
Each
year the event attracts thousands of visitors
(in 2006 more than 1 million) who, for 9 days,
pack the squares and main streets of the city,
transformed for the occasion into authentic
open-air workshops. Also, famous chefs prepare
tasty chocolate dishes, trying out unprecedented
but sensational combinations. In collaboration
with the Università dei Sapori of Perugia
courses will be organised including Master of
Chocolate, Semi-professional and Amateur courses
for those, professionals or simple gourmets,
who wish to experiment with chocolate in the
kitchen.
