The Restaurant “Alla Vecchia Fornace” is a typical italian Trattoria, a casual place where you can taste traditional dishes coming from the real umbrian cooking tradition. Our menu has been completely renovated in order to offer you the best seasonal country products, elaborated in local recipes which can be both regularly on the menu or changed on a daily base. One of the most distinguishing feature of the trattoria Alla Vecchia Fornace is the location: an ancient furnace, carved out of the medieval walls of Torgiano, which has been converted in what is now our restaurant: two large rooms on two different floors, where you can experience a bit of italian history while tasting our cuisine. The furnace still hosts the last complete load of “crocks”, the daily-use pottery produced until the half of 20th century. The ground floor is characterized by arches and wooden-beam ceiling, while the second floor shows the blackened furnace roof.
